Male award of shame of the year - receiver of the 'rubber Eastercock'

Not a single male walker has declined during 2014. Every man has walked more km in 2014 compared to 2013 (including, believe it or not, Lars Karder)

 

Therefore we have two receivers of the female award of shame of the year.

 

The nominated are:  Annika Johansson, Solveig Ellefsen, Ebba Odhner.

 

1. RECEIVER OF 'THE RUBBER EASTERCOOK 2014' with the following motivation:

With a decline of 34% in km and 40% in number of walks, the biggest decline but one in the history of the club (only Lars Karder has not very surprisingly been worse) and ranked 19 in 2014 compared to 11 in 2013. It is a big displeasure to have to declare that the receiver of the 'Rubber Eastercock' is the club's only French member - Mme Solveig Ellefsen.

 

2. RECEIVER OF THE ' THE METAL SARDINE 2014' with the following motivation:
With a decline of 15% in km and 20% in number of walks and ranked 6 in 2014 compared to 4 in 2013, she has not fullfilled one of the most important tasks being a member of Club Exclusif. You should always do better from year to year! This fact is especially appalling, as in this case, the nominated person was awarded the walking stick in 2013.

It is difficult and strongly disappointing to declare that the receiver of the 'The metal Sardine' 2014 is Ebba Odhner.

 

3. MALE WALKER OF THE YEAR - THE CREMANT COOLER AWARD

 

The nominated are: Ulf Lööf, Ulf Andersson, Carlo Otto

 

Winner of the 'The Crémant cooler award' with the following motivation:

With an increase of 102% in km and 70% in number of walks from already a high level in 2013 the winner of the award has proven that it is possible to always do better. He has also improved his ranking in the marathon league from 5 in 2013 to 4 in 2014. He also participated in the Europiade in Breganze/Marostica in June. Last but not least, it is very easy to have lunch with him after a walk. He doesn't need a menue. It is either a pizza Diavola or a Schweineschnitzel mit pommes and to go with that 'une demie rosé'.

I am happy to hand over, for the second consecutive year, The Crémant cooler to MR ULF LÖÖF!!

 

Honourable mention to:

Ulf Andersson who before returning back to Sweden in November managed to increase his km with 618% and number of walks with 500% compared to 2013 (if yet from low numbers).

 

Honourable mention also to Mr Carlo Otto who in spite of the fact that he made his first walk for the club as late as 29th May, managed to walk 15 times and 271 km with an average walk of slightly more than impressing 18 km. He is already ranked 10 in the marathon league. I believe Mr Otto will go for the kill in 2015. But also for he has made the President enjoy 'Simon Pils' and also for being our only Luxembourgish member.

 

4. FEMALE WALKER OF THE YEAR - 'The walking stick'

 

The nominated are: Anna Lööf, Susanne Resmalm, Ulrika Storckenfeldt

 

She started walking for the club as late as 30th March she still managed to walk 24 times and 266 km. She has shown great interest in walking and was ranked 11 in 2014. Not bad for a woman at her age! The club is also happy to have it's first noble member. Maybe we can have our next general assembly at Riddarhuset in Stockholm. But also because she has a very nice dog - Ulrika Storckenfeldt.

 

Honourable mention to: Susanne Resmalm
She doesn't always walk that far but she walks! Ranked number 12 in therms of number of walks and always joins the 'After walk crémant'' rosy-cheeked. Also because she is the perfect member in terms of stampaudit. A short e-mail mentioning the number of walks and km each year and with a scanned copy of the card attached. A very good example for the Head of Statistics. But also because she is such a talented singer.

 

Honourable mention, as runner up with fantastic 656 km goes to Anna Lööf who also, as first member, has walked more than 61 walks during one year. Anna is also number one in the Marathon league with a total of 168 walks and 1849 km since start on 29th May 2011 in Grevenmacher. Anna also participated in the Europiade in Breganze/Marostica in Italy in June. But also because she is a very dedicated Crémant-drinker.

 

5. finally WINNER OF THE SHOE

 

The first member ever to during 55 walks walked more than amazing 711 km during the year in spite of being away from Luxemburg during 16 weeks.
The winner was runner up 2013 with 43 walks and 513 km. In spite of these high numbers she has been able to increase number of walks with 28% and km with 39% during 2014.
During one single month, in June, she walked 162 km.
She was also one out of four members who participated in the Europiade in Breganze/Marostica in June.
