The male award of shame – the Rubber Frog Prince

The rubber frog Prince (last year received by Mr Lars Karder who is not a member anymore) and not even bothered to pick up his price. Therefore the Frog goes on to the 2016 years winner of the male award of shame. The nominated are:

The very embarrassing price - the rubber Prince,  goes to a person who walked 159 km in 2015, but only 69 km in 2016:

Mr Krister Nynabb.

 

The female award of shame – the Rubber Frog Princess

The jury for 2015, myself and Thomas, decided not to select a receiver of the female award of shame last year. However, Mrs Bettina Pölking was given a yellow card – a strong warning! She did 6 walks in 2014 and only 6 in 2015.

The nominated for the female award of shame 2016 are:

Siobhan Cooper

Sophie Berglund

 

The winner, who only did 2 walks in 2016, 6 km in February and 12 km in May, is Mrs Bettina Pölking.

A warning, together with the Frog Princess, will be sent to Bettina in the coming days.

 

Best Female Walker – the Walking Stick

Previous winners of this award is Ebba in 2013, Ulrika in 2014 and Ingrid in 2015. This years nominated are only two. Both of them walked over 500 km in 2016.

And the winner is Minna Lindholm, who walked 509 km in 2016 and increased with over 67% compared to the previous year.

Best Male Walker – the Crémant Cooler

The winner is, having walked 435 km in 2016, an increase with 54% since 2015, Mr Santiago Martin.

Best overall performance 2016

This was the easiest nomination for the committee as there is only one who can possibly win this price again: Mr Carlo Otto.

Prix d’encouragement – rookie of the year

This year, we also have an encouragement price to a relatively new member, who did two walks in December 2015 and then walked 345 km in 2016. She is only on the 11th position in 2016 but we must watch up for this rookie of the year 2016.

The price was bought at the last Europiade in Kitzbuhel, and the winner is: Mrs Birgitta Röstlund.  

The clubs best young walker 2016

This was also an easy nomination for the committee. Our only nominated young walker is Fabian, who walked 404 km in 2016 and we wish him good luck as a participant in the FLMP competition ‘walker of the year 2016’ in his age-group, which will be announced tomorrow in the General Assembly of FLMP. Congratulations FABIAN.
